Revealing Abba in Psalm 20
| Abba
hears My cry in the day of My affliction; for His name is wonderful,
counselor, everlasting Father; He will save and defend His children; He will send help for His beloved from out of His dwelling place; Me; His Holy One: Remember Him who offers Himself for you is the exact expression of Abba’s heart toward you; who puts an end to death and declares your innocence; His sacrifice is a sweet-smelling savor to Abba; He will fill your hearts with gladness; when you behold in Him, the sure hope of everything your heart has ever longed for; Rejoice in Him who saves you from death and all that seeks to destroy you and brings Abba’s life and immortality to light; And in His name will we find the One who fills the desires of our heart with His promise of eternal life, which He made before death entered; before the world began; Now you can be certain of this life in beholding the testimony of how Abba saved Me, His Anointed from death; how that He did not leave Me in the grave or allow Me to see corruption but raised Me up in immortal flesh and seated Me at His right hand; Some trust in their own labor and the works of their hand for life; but the only life that does not perish is in You Abba; and it is found in beholding My sure testimony at Your right hand; All the ways contrary to Your life Abba will be brought to nothing and perish; but those who trust in You, You will seat with Me at Your right hand forever; You alone save, Abba; You hear the cry of all who call on Your name for life and You deliver them. |
