Revealing Abba in Psalm 8
| Abba Your name and Your majesty
fill the earth. You have revealed the excellency of Your name in Me;
wrapped in Your light and Your glory from heaven. From the mouths of the young and innocent calling upon Your name in perfect praise have You established Your grace and strength which make foolish the corrupt logic that brings death, silencing it; When I behold You Abba and all the beautiful works of Your hand; in establishing the heavens and the earth; In awe, I ask, who is man that You; Abba; have never forgotten Your promise of eternal life to them, or Me, the Son of man that You have made Your home in Me promising Me Your life and immortality; appointing Me the heir of all things? You made Me in a body that is a little lower than the angels for a short season and with everlasting kindness have You clothed Me with Your life, Your beauty and Your good opinion; in an immortal human body; Abba, You have given Me power over all flesh and dominion to subdue the earth and all the works of Your hands; to put death and all things under My feet; All sheep and oxen, and also the beasts of the field, The birds of the air, and the fish of the sea, and whatever passes through the paths of the seas; O Lord, My Abba; You declare the glory and majesty of Your name in Me at Your right hand; exalting Your name in all the earth! |
