Revealing Abba in Psalm 73

Most certainly Abba is good to all His children; those who with a pure heart see they are His sons and daughters resting in Him to give them His life as an inheritance;

But men's feet were stumbling at the truth; their steps had gone out of the way;

Becoming envious of the foolish; seeing the prosperity of those who feel orphaned in the earth; and seek to establish their own life;

Their life appears free from the pangs of death; it looks good from the outside; their strength seems firm;

They don't look troubled like other men; neither do they appear afflicted;

Therefore, pride grips them and takes hold of their hearts; clothing themselves in their own sufficiency brings bitterness and maliciousness toward all people;

The lust for what they can produce with their own works is ever before them; always desiring more substance than one could ever wish for but never being satisfied;

They are corrupt, and perishing by their own hands; they speak wickedly about those who are oppressed by the death and corruption in the world; speaking with lofty words; laying burdens upon the afflicted that no man can bear;

Their mouth is filled with the poison of asp which is planted in the earth;
Therefore, do all those who follow after that same way always return, having their cups completely drained by them; the greedy;

And they say, does God even know us in our affliction? and how can we know the Most High seeing He is far from us?

Seeing as the ungodly seem to prosper in the world; increasing in worldly riches;

Causing men to say that it seems useless to trust God, and it has profited them nothing to look for any good thing from Him;

For all day long and each morning am I plagued by affliction and death;

If I speak these thoughts I have, surely, I would offend the children of men;

For even when I thought to ponder this, it was painful for Me;

Until You, Abba gave Me understanding and showed Me the end of these things;

Surely, You did judge this way that seemed to look prosperous to men in the world as death and how that it only leads to destruction;

How it brings utter desolation in a moment; consuming upon a man with fear and torment;

Like waking from a dream of their prosperity, only to see they are totally bankrupt of life; running in fear to their own destruction; O Abba; in this You will have no pleasure;

So, O son of man, though your hearts be grieved; and pained in your deepest parts;

Feeling foolish and far from Him for having such thoughts;

Nevertheless, know this; Abba is continually with you; upholding you by the word He has spoken about you in Me at His right hand;

His Spirit does guide Me in all truth and counsel; swallowing up My death and receiving Me into His glory in My resurrection; as a testimony;

Who is there in heaven and earth whereby a man can receive eternal life but You Abba; the only immortal; there is none on the earth whose life I desire but Yours;

My flesh and My heart will fail, but You Abba are My life and My strength and My inheritance forever;

But those who go running after other gods will feel far from You Abba, and feeling naked and afraid will cower away in fear and perish;

But it is a good thing for Me and all Your beloved to draw near to You Abba; for My testimony has declared Your work; bringing the certainty of Your life and immortality to the hearts of Your children; that You are their inheritance and their exceeding great reward.
